Come join the new Investment Management Legal Department at SEB Investment Management AB! We are looking for three experienced fund lawyers to be part of our team. The team is responsible for advising on all legal aspects of the business of SEB Investment Management AB and is an important part of the organisation.
About the jobs
SEB Investment Management AB is one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics. We offer a broad range of funds and tailored portfolios for institutional investors as well as retail and private banking clients.
All roles will work with the Investment Management Legal Department to service the transactional and regulatory requirements and legal queries of the daily fund business. Your day-to-day work will, inter alia, include:
• participating in product developments and processes;
• providing legal and regulatory analyses and impact assessments;
• drafting and negotiating internal and external agreements;
• managing matters and contacts with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority;
• provide or arrange in-house legal training on relevant legal and regulatory developments;
• draft policies and guidelines;
• and monitoring legal risks.
One of the roles will be focusing specifically on the alternative investment teams Private Equity and Real Estate and you will work regularly with transactions and managing external counsels locally and globally assisting the teams with drafting, negotiating and organizing transactions and transaction-related business.
Who are you?
To succeed in any of these roles you need to have good commercial understanding of, and interest in, the fund business. You have a solution focused mind-set but with firm legal integrity. You have excellent communication, negotiation and drafting skills in both Swedish and English and feel comfortable and confident advising the business and instructing external counsels. Working in a structured and diligent way both independently and with the team comes naturally to you and you have strong time management and prioritizing skills. We expect you to have a Swedish law degree (jur. kand.) with a few years’ experience of fund business.
For the role focusing on alternative investments the understanding and interest need extend to Private Equity and Real Estate business specifically and you should have several years of experience with transactions in an investment company, corporate bank and/or an international law firm.
