Hedge Fund Analyst to SEB in Stockholm

Are you an ambitious analyst and a strong team player? We are now looking for a credit analyst to join our team at Kungsträdgårdsgatan in Stockholm.

About the job
Financial Institutions Analysis is a team within SEB’s Credit Analysis department. This is a specialist position with a focus towards clients in the dynamic international hedge fund industry. The credit analyst works together with client teams from different parts of SEB’s Large Corporates & Financial Institutions division, advising on and assessing various types of credit transactions.

You will be responsible, from a credit risk standpoint, for a portfolio of hedge funds and expected to manage it on the basis of deep understanding of the credit fundamentals and risks associated with trading strategies and products. This includes preparing and presenting recommendations to the various decision-making authorities within the bank. You need to stay well-informed of investment strategies, industry and regulatory developments. Frequent interaction with hedge fund managers, client executives, credit officers and senior management is moreover a very important part of the business and the analytical process. You will also have frequent interaction with SEB Markets as part of the deal team on structured transactions. This will provide you with excellent opportunities for personal and professional development and growth. The position is located in Stockholm, but as you will maintain regular contact with clients, both domestic and international, the role will include travelling.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position we believe that you have minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience from the financial industry and a master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, economics, business or mathematics. You need strong qualitative and quantitative analytic skills. It is essential that you have experience in evaluating and understanding various financial risks such as market, credit and liquidity risk, as well as very good knowledge of trading products. You are an open and confident team player, able to interact with external clients and various internal stakeholders. Also, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, being capable to summarise and present complex structures in a clear way. Prior experience from hedge funds and alternative trading strategies is preferable but not a requirement. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite and fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
