Are you interested in getting hands-on experience and learn what investment banking is all about? SEB’s investment banking internship program offers you the possibility of getting practical knowledge from the leading investment bank in the Nordics, and could result in a full-time job offer. The application period for positions during 2018 is now open.
About the job
Our Investment Banking division consists of two main areas, Corporate Finance and Debt Financing. SEB Corporate Finance is a market leader in advisory services for Nordic related mergers and acquisitions as well as equity capital market transactions. Our Debt Financing department is one of the leading debt houses in the Nordic region and is responsible for advising, arranging, structuring and executing a variety of debt transactions including bonds, hybrid capital, securitisation, corporate acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts as well as other types of complex debt facilities.
You will from day one take an active role in ongoing transactions and be responsible for the preparation of pitch material and analysing data used in various settings. You will support our deal teams throughout the entire transaction process by independently working with company and market risk analysis, legal documentation and producing internal and external presentation materials. Work tasks will vary within the different areas but common for all is that you will work side by side with experienced colleagues and hence get the chance not only to quickly learn the business, but also to build your network.
Your internship period will last for 8-10 weeks, during which you will work with either Corporate Finance or Debt Financing. Occasionally students also get the chance to stay with us for two consecutive periods and work with both Corporate Finance and Debt Financing. We offer high performing individuals a steep learning curve in an international work environment within financial markets and investment banking. We are always interested in applications from driven individuals with a team-player attitude and a genuine interest in business and finance.
Who are you?
To be successful in your internship with us you need to have sharp analytical skills, be dedicated and ambitious. You have a service minded attitude, a proactive approach and the ability to demonstrate high integrity and take responsibility for your tasks. We also believe that you have high attention to detail and good ability to learn.
Furthermore, you need to have completed at least one year of studies on an undergraduate level and have strong communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
